Carol LaDonna (Whitt) Cox

Carol LaDonna Whitt Cox, 73, entered into rest on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Carol was born on January 18, 1944 in Chattanooga TN to parents, the late J.D. and Myrtle Younce Whitt.

She is also predeceased by her oldest beloved son, Billy Wilson Jr. and brother-in-law David Kinsey; little sister, Rebecca Deal; niece, Melinda Kinsey and great-nephew Tyler Smith.

Survivors include;  beloved son, Derrick Lee Cox; sisters, Lana Nahabedian, Brenda Pierce, Theresa Kinsey; brother, Jeff Whitt; aunt, Mary Haddock and grandchildren, Derrick Cox Jr. (Kasey), Jennifer Cox Dillon (Jake), Billy Harrison Jr. (Sonya), Jay Harrison (Shana Mathis), Amy and Tiffany Wilson; six great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carol faced cancer over twenty-five years ago and won the battle two times. She was a beautician for many years and worked at Little Debbie, Chattanooga Stove. She was also a Care Giver/CNA .She will be remembered as an avid bingo player, leaving behind many bingo friends, and she loved to play games and put together puzzles & even quilted before she lost her ability to enjoy these activities. Carol will be laid to rest next to her dear son, Billy and beloved parents on the mountain.

Visitation will be Friday, April21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Terra Vista Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jeff Howell will conduct the service at 2 p.m. in the church.

Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Lookout Mountain, GA.
